Reliability Engineer (Golden Aluminum, Inc., Fort Lupton, CO)
Ensure the overall design, reliability, and performance of our aluminum rolling mill facility including an upgraded continuous block caster to deploy its innovative Nexcast process, which is the first in a series of strategically placed mini mills to serve the growing demand for aluminum in an environmentally friendly way, reducing natural gas usage, improving process efficiency, recycling more mixed-grade scrap, and serving the market with advanced alloys.
Design, develop, and implement maintenance and reliability strategies to optimize equipment efficiency, minimize downtime, and enhance overall operational reliability of the facility.
Lead and supervise a team of reliability and maintenance professionals to identify and address equipment issues proactively, conduct regular equipment assessments and condition monitoring, and implement predictive maintenance measures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize equipment performance, reduce downtime, and improve overall plant reliability; develop and manage KPIs to measure and track reliability metrics, providing regular reports to management; establish preventive maintenance plans and schedules based on key failure analyses; provide technical expertise in troubleshooting, corrective actions; collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure availability of spare parts and support for critical equipment;
stay abreast of industry best practices, technological advancements, and emerging trends in reliability and maintenance.
Salary: $79,602 - $88,000 per year.
Minimum Requirements- Bachelor's degree or U.S. equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or a related field, plus 2 years of professional experience as a Reliability Engineer, Controls Engineer, PLC Programmer, or any occupation, job title, or position performing instrument and controls activities in a manufacturing facility.
- 2+ years of professional experience working with PLC programming, SCADA systems, process controls, instrumentation, computer hardware, software and programming, meters, network systems and communications, and control systems in an industrial setting.
- 2+ years of professional experience designing, calibrating, and maintaining industrial instrumentation systems including pressure transmitters, flow meters, and level sensors.
- 2+ years of professional experience working with electrical power systems including variable frequency drives (VFDs) and relays.
- 2+ years of professional experience programming, modifying, and troubleshooting programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- 2+ years of professional experience using Control Logix and Allen Bradley.
