• Experience and knowledge of fabrication, machining, press brakes, and plate cutting used in jobshops
• Past experience in project management and supervision of people and projects
• Understanding of time and processes used to produce parts

• Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast‑past environment with constantly changing priorities.
• Help with estimation at HWMI.
  • Primarily produce estimates and communicate with customers on projects you bid for machined components
  • Must be familiar with modern machine tools including CNC and be able to compile work routers for job sequencing and quoting
  • May get involved and help with estimates in other departments – fabrication, sheet metal, cutting, etc.
• Meet with customers to understand project needs and ability to develop an estimate and progress a project or part through the shop to meet deadlines and quality expectations.
• Good communication skills between all craftsmen and project managers to assist in project progress.
  • Confer with customers, engineers and manufacturing personnel in order to exchange technical information and ensure builds are done according to spec.
  • Coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production of projects such as machine operators and fabricators.
• Ability to travel – may require occasional travel to customer locations or subcontractor locations to oversee work or meet with customers.

• Ability to develop sketches at customer sites for fabrications/machined parts so we can quote/create those parts here after your site visit.
• Specific design experience in Electrical, structural, pneumatics, hydraulics, and general automation.
• Past experience in leadership training – we need someone that is hands on, leads by example, and has a strong work ethic.
