Job Responsibilities
Perform visual and dimensional inspections, record all required data, interpret results, and recommend appropriate actions in accordance with repair specifications, industry standards, and shop practices. Document and test inspections of components and perform process control actions to ensure equipment and materials meet minimum requirements prior to inspections.
- Set up, operate, and maintain a variety of repair equipment to finish, inspect, and evaluate parts per accepted industry standards; document finish and repair tasks as required.
- Perform inspections and accurately report findings to operations and supervisors.
- Work with or under the direction of managers or engineers.
- Follow all applicable specifications and procedures regarding shop operations and use all required safety equipment while following established safety procedures.
- Keep work areas clean and orderly.
- Support and apply team concepts in daily activities and provide technical direction and training to other employees as required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
- Prior experience in auto body repair, grinding, fiberglass or resin repair is a plus.
- Ability to work in a protective suit, mask, respirator, and gloves, and able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
- Ability to read, write and understand metric measuring system.
- Able to sit, stand, bend and kneel for 8 or more hours a day; available for overtime up to 12‑hour days and on off days.
