Responsibilities

Med Surg RNs deliver bedside care to a diverse patient population, conducting individualized assessments to develop personalized care plans. They prepare medical equipment and assist physicians during examinations and treatments. Key duties include:

• Preparing, administering, and documenting prescribed medications
• Monitoring patients for adverse symptoms and initiating alternative actions when needed
• Changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs as required

Strong assessment skills, clinical proficiency in medication administration, wound care, and invasive procedures. Ability to respond promptly to patient needs and collaborate effectively with healthcare teams.
