Public Works Manager, Parks and Roads

Take charge of the Parks and Roads sector within the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. This leadership role calls for strategic management of municipal infrastructure and public service initiatives.

As the Public Works Manager, you will guide employee development, budget management, and adherence to operational standards across parks and roads. A hands-on professional with extensive background in both areas, you'll be instrumental in meeting municipal service objectives and fostering community relations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee park and roads operational standards

• Implement innovative strategies to improve service delivery

• Manage budgeting and strategic planning processes

• Mentor and support team member growth

• Liaise with various government agencies and community groups

Requirements:

• Ten years in parks and road maintenance

• Five years in a supervisory capacity

• Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or similar

• Membership eligibility in APEGA or ASET

• Capable of on-call scheduling and flexible hours
