As the Environment Operations Lead, you will draw on 15-20 years of experience in Environmental Science or Biology to provide leadership and direction on essential environmental programs.

Your role will include collaborating with mine teams to ensure compliance with wildlife mitigation and surface water management, answering the regulatory challenges faced in this dynamic field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate interdisciplinary wildlife and aquatics teams

• Ensure regulatory compliance and facilitate permitting processes

• Manage wildlife research initiatives and stakeholder collaboration

• Oversee habitat strategies in mine closure plans

• Support junior staff development and manage budgets
Requirements:

• 15-20 years experience in relevant environmental fields

• Proficiency in regulatory report writing and analysis

• Strong problem-solving and statistical skills

• Preferred registration as a Professional Biologist

• Knowledge of environmental regulations and codes in Alberta
