Environmental Student Internship

Contribute to Canadian Natural’s environmental projects as an Environmental Student at the Albian Oil Sands Site in Fort McMurray, Alberta. Focus on groundwater and surface sampling while working on ambitious assignments.

Ideal for 3rd and 4th-year students in Biological or Environmental Sciences, this position emphasizes teamwork and practical application of your studies. You will collect water samples, conduct field tests, and support experienced Environmental Specialists in ensuring safety and compliance in all aspects of fieldwork.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct surface and groundwater sampling according to standards

• Perform environmental field tests for various water parameters

• Prepare sample bottles and coordinate transports

• Monitor environmental conditions in wetlands

• Collaborate on environmental project outcomes and presentations

Requirements:

• Enrollment in Environmental or Earth Sciences program

• Valid driver’s license required

• Physically fit for fieldwork demands

• Experience with databases beneficial

• Previous fieldwork experience in an environmental context appreciated
