Position: Environmental Technician for Oil Sands Project
Contribute to a significant oil sands initiative as an Environmental Technician in Fort McMurray. This role encompasses field investigations, data management, and collaboration for safe project delivery on a two-week on, two-week off rotation.

WSP is seeking Environmental Field Technicians to participate in a major project starting in Q4 2026. You will engage in geotechnical and environmental programs including soil sampling and monitoring. Effective communication and organizational skills are essential as you work with engineers and clients, promoting a strong safety culture throughout.

Key Responsibilities:

• Champion safety by following WSP’s health policies

• Execute drilling and soil sampling field programs

• Maintain accurate field data and logs

• Support testing programs for design decisions

• Collaborate with engineers and clients on field issues

Requirements:

• Degree in Environmental Sciences or Engineering

• Experience with drilling and field investigations

• Knowledge of soil testing and evaluation

• Proficiency with field data software

• Valid Alberta driver’s licence and camp work ability
