This 8-month term position is suited for third or fourth-year undergraduate students, or master's candidates, specializing in Biology, Natural Sciences, or Environmental Studies. You'll conduct field measurements, collect water samples, and assist the environment team with diverse assignments. Expect a shift schedule of 4 days on, 3 days off, allowing for a balanced work-life experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collect surface and groundwater samples following QA/QC protocols
• Conduct water quality testing, including pH and turbidity
• Prepare and document sample collection efficiently
• Assist with environmental inspections and wetland monitoring
• Carry out an assigned environmental project and present findings
Requirements:
• Enrolled in an undergraduate or master's program in relevant fields
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Capability to manage physically demanding fieldwork
• Previous environmental field experience is an asset
• Database skills are preferred
