Position: Student Environmental Role at Canadian Natural
Engage in a Student Environmental role with Canadian Natural at the Albian Oil Sands Site in Fort McMurray, Alberta. This 8-month term position focuses on groundwater and surface sampling, providing significant industry experience.

We are seeking undergraduate or master’s students in their third or fourth year, specializing in Environmental Studies or related fields. You'll aid our environment team with diverse assignments, from data collection to field measurements. This unique opportunity is structured around a set schedule of 4 days on and 3 days off.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect and purge groundwater and surface water samples

• Conduct testing for water quality parameters

• Prepare sample documentation properly for transport

• Engage in wetland monitoring and environmental inspections

• Manage an assigned project with findings presentation

Requirements:

• Enrollment in a relevant undergraduate or master’s program

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license is mandatory

• Physically fit for fieldwork conditions

• Previous experience in environmental settings is an advantage

• Familiarity with database usage is preferred
