Internship Environmental Students

Join Canadian Natural for an enriching Environmental Student internship at the Albian Oil Sands Site in Fort McMurray! This position will involve hands-on surface and groundwater sampling and field support activities.

Canadian Natural invites ambitious students enrolled in their 3rd or 4th year or in a master’s program focused on water resources or environmental sciences. This 8-month term ensures you gain practical insights through data collection, quality control protocols, and collaborative project support.

Your role will contribute directly to the operational excellence of the Oil Sands division.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect and analyze surface and groundwater samples

• Conduct various water quality tests in the field

• Support wetland monitoring and regulatory compliance

• Prepare necessary documentation for sample management

• Assist colleagues with environmental fieldwork tasks

Requirements:

• Active enrollment in a relevant academic program

• Must hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license

• Physically fit to engage in fieldwork

• Experience with database management is beneficial

• Familiarity with outdoor machinery is a plus
