Position: Engine Field Service Technician (Fort Hills)

DESCRIPTION

Cummins is looking for an experienced Diesel Technician/Mechanic to complete our team based in Fort Hills, AB.

Fly-in Fly out - 7 shifts on, 7 shifts off - Days and Nights. Camp based position at Fort Hills.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways

• Engages customers in a courteous and professional manner.
• Anticipates and ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs
• Applies the use of specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete less complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools
• Coaches on preventative maintenance activities and basic repairs completed by customer employees
• Escalates unresolved issues to more experienced On-Site Technicians and/or Supervisor
• Completes required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
• Completes training in line with skill and business requirements
• Maintains work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation
• Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to site management and to their supervisor.

RESPONSIBILITIES In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
Education, Licenses,

Certifications:

• Heavy duty Red seal certification- OFF road is mandatory

Experience:

• Basic level field service work experience.
• Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products.
• High Voltage/ Low Voltage experience is considered an asset.
• Customer facing service experience .

About the role:

• Random drug and alcohol testing on site.
• Service vehicle and tooling are provided.
• 7 shifts on, 7 shifts off - Days and Nights.
• Flights from Edmonton and Calgary covered by Cummins
• Position is safety sensitive.
• Work will be predominantly on haul trucks.
• Cummins offers a $5,000 sign on bonus for this role.
• Premiums are also associated to this role.

• 7x7 shift days and nights
• Off road HET red seal required and will be requested

Hourly Rate: $65.04

$350.00 living allowance
