Minimum Requirements:
Five years of electrical maintenance experience in a large industrial facility
High voltage experience maintaining, servicing, troubleshooting and switching high voltage systems (equipment up to 15KV)
High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
Valid Alberta Journeyman Electrical Technician Certificate or an Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyman Electrical Technician Certificate
Possess a valid driver's licence and a clean driving record
Responsibilities:
Install, service, maintain, and troubleshoot a wide spectrum of plant electrical equipment and machinery in high and low voltage applications
Maintain, test and ensure the functionality of electrical equipment protection systems, safety systems, emergency shutdown (ESD) equipment, and backup systems
Execute preventative and predictive maintenance programs for electrical systems
Participate in failure analysis discussions
Plan jobs, which includes material assessment and selection
Develop and execute switching procedures
Assist other maintenance and production technicians to ensure equipment and plant reliability
Maintain equipment histories as required
Location and other Key details:
You will work out of our camp-based Fort Hills mining site, located in Alberta’s Athabasca region, 90 kilometers north of Fort McMurray, Alberta.
The shift schedule is a 7 days on / 7 days off rotation (12-hour shifts)
You will be on a Fly-In-Fly-Out Rotation from one of the approved hubs of Edmonton or Calgary or a Bus-In-Bus-Out of Fort Mc Murray
