Fort McMurray Heavy Duty Mechanic

Exciting opportunity as a Heavy Duty Mechanic at Finning in Fort McMurray, specializing in repairing and maintaining Caterpillar rental equipment. Your expertise in diagnostics and repair will be crucial for our operations.

This is a shop role with a continuous 7x7 shift rotation, where you'll utilize your Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician certification. Engage in troubleshooting construction tools and aerial work platforms while working on technical documentation and collaborating with customer support. A focus on organization and communication is key.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and maintain Caterpillar rental equipment

• Conduct repair diagnostics efficiently

• Complete necessary technical documentation

• Work closely with the Service Supervisor and Leadhand

• Interact with customers to provide effective support

Requirements:

• Must hold a Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician certification

• Experience with construction tools and aerial work platforms

• Familiarity with Caterpillar training programs is advantageous

• Strong attention to detail and safety compliance

• Fit for respirator use as condition of employment
