Experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic - Suncor Site

NACG is seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic (Journeyperson) for the Suncor site near Fort McMurray. Utilize your skills in heavy machinery repair while enjoying a robust benefits package and competitive pay.

As a key member of the maintenance team, you will conduct extensive repairs on various equipment models. This role includes troubleshooting system faults, performing routine maintenance, and effectively mentoring apprentices. You are expected to demonstrate leadership and a commitment to safety in all undertakings. Working a 14 x 14 rotation supports work-life balance while maximizing earning potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform repairs on heavy equipment of all types

• Carry out preventative maintenance routinely

• Troubleshoot hydraulic and mechanical issues

• Ensure equipment meets performance standards

• Guide apprentices in their training

Requirements:

• Alberta Journeyperson certificate or Red Seal

• Minimum 2 years working experience

• Strong diagnostic skills essential

• Ability to work with minimal supervision

• Familiarity with basic computer applications
