Fort McMurray BET Operator Position

Join Fort McKay Group as a BET Operator in Fort McMurray, focusing on bird monitoring and environmental responsibilities. This full-time role involves hands-on labor and equipment operation.

The BET Operator works under the guidance of a Team Lead, performing essential tasks that include driving specialized vehicles and maintaining site equipment. Applicants should have experience with construction duties and be physically fit, with a strong understanding of environmental impacts. This role is a blend of physical and technical work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate machinery, including loaders and ATVs safely

• Perform regular maintenance and checks on equipment

• Set up and remove bird deterrents as necessary

• Drive personnel safely to various locations

• Report needed repairs or maintenance to supervisors

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent

• Class 5 License required with a good Drivers Abstract

• At least 1 year of experience in construction

• Boat / Pleasure Craft License a necessity

• Capable of lifting up to 23 kgs
