Road Mechanic
This Road Mechanic role performs preventive maintenance, advanced diagnostics, and complex repairs on equipment, ensuring safe and effective operation to minimize downtime. The primary fleet includes aerial work platforms, construction tools, heavy equipment, large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas related equipment.
Location & ShiftFort McMurray – Fly-in/Fly-out position with 14 on/14 off shift. $1,500 per month wage. Flights from Calgary/Edmonton and accommodations are provided.
ResponsibilitiesMaintain and repair equipment, troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical systems, work within a fast-paced environment, and adapt to changing priorities.
Education & Experience- High school diploma or GED required; trade school or equivalent training desired.
- Previous mechanic experience with diesel or heavy equipment, specialty lines such as generators, pumps, HVAC, or oil & gas equipment strongly preferred.
- Experience in autopark or commercial transport.
- A valid Red Seal (Heavy Duty) is an asset.
- May need to provide mechanic’s tools of the trade.
- Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting skills.
- Advanced knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Requires bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors and outdoors as required.

Base pay range: $37.39 - $51.42 per hour. Starting rate may vary based on position, location, education, training and/or experience.
