Suncor Radio Technician

Join Suncor as a Radio Technician in Fort McMurray, Alberta, and support critical communication systems in the mining industry. This full-time role involves hands-on installation and maintenance work for dispatch configurations.

As a key member of Suncor's Mining team, you will need at least five years of experience in maintaining heavy equipment communications systems.

Your role will encompass programming and supporting radio components crucial for efficient mining operations. Certification as an Alberta Journeyperson will ensure you meet the technical demands of this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program Dispatch hardware for approximately 321 heavy equipment units

• Install GPS antennas and Pro Vision systems effectively

• Assist with the configuration and relocation of mobile towers

• Offer field support for mining GPS Ground Station operations

• Ensure reliable communication systems for automated haulage operations

Requirements:

• Minimum of five years with radio technology

• Alberta Journeyperson Electronic Technician certification

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Valid driver's license and clear driving record

• Proficient in Cisco and Motorola products
