Sunbelt Rentals – the fastest growing rental business in Canada – is seeking an experienced Road Mechanic to join our on-site team in Fort McMurray. The shift is 14 on/14 off, this is a Fly‑in/Fly‑out position with $1,500 per month and flights from Calgary/Edmonton provided. Accommodations are provided. This Road Mechanic role performs preventive maintenance, advanced diagnostics, and complex repairs on equipment to avoid downtime.

The fleet includes Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools, and equipment; specialty lines may include large‑scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas related equipment.

• High school diploma or GED required, some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• Previous mechanic experience with diesel equipment and/or heavy equipment or specialty line equipment (large‑scale generators, pumps, HVAC, or oil & gas equipment) strongly preferred.
• Previous experience in the automotive/motor or commercial transport industry.
• A valid Red Seal (Heavy Duty) is an asset.

• Ability to provide mechanic’s tools of the trade.
• Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting skills.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

37.39 - 51.42 per hour. Starting rate of pay may vary based on position, location, education, training, and/or experience.
