Technical Service Representative, Electrical – Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada
Job OverviewAs a Technical Service Representative, you’ll be the go‑to problem solver for some of the biggest equipment in the region – supporting builds, diagnosing complex issues, and working directly with customers who rely on your knowledge. Reports to:
Lead, Technical Service
Shift: 7x7, 12 hours per day
Travel: up to 25% across Canada and in the USA
Relocation:
This position does not offer relocation. Candidate must be currently located in Fort McMurray.

- Support equipment builds, commissioning, repairs, and follow‑up service
- Provide on‑site technical support across all product lines
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and control system issues
- Maintain accurate customer and equipment records
- Coordinate field issues with product support to resolve recurring or critical problems
- Perform adjustments, repairs, and component replacements at customer sites
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment
- Red Seal Electrical Journeyperson certification
- 1–3 years related experience, including troubleshooting mining equipment
- Strong understanding of shovels, drills, loaders, PLCs, and digital drives
- Proven ability to diagnose high‑voltage electrical and control system issues
- Experience with equipment testing, commissioning, and outdoor field repairs
- Strong customer service, communication, and documentation skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic control systems (Rockwell, ABB, Siemens)
- Competitive wages: base pay is $64.66 per hour with full compensation package discussed upon pre‑screen
