Licensed Heavy Duty Mechanic

Clean Harbors Fort McMurray AB is looking for a Licensed Heavy Duty Mechanic to join their safety conscious team.

• You’ll be working 11.5 hours a day with O.T. paid at over 8 hours/day or over 44 hours/week.
• 14/14 commuter, or 7/7 local shifts are available (others may be negotiable depending on experience and accommodation).

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.
• Complete and follow requirements of Field Level Hazard and Job Hazard assessments.
• Perform thorough inspections of equipment and identify required repairs.
• Perform routine and specific maintenance on company vehicles and equipment.
• Inspect and diagnose components and equipment for servicing needs.
• Complete repair orders.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment and light and heavy duty vehicles.
• Communicate equipment servicing needs as required with Supervisor.
• Complete warranty information.
• Disassemble, inspect, fit and replace worn or broken parts.
• Carry out housekeeping duties.
• Complete required documentation and daily Samsara logs in an accurate and timely manner.

• Licensed/Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic.
• 3+ years’ experience working as a Heavy Equipment Technician/Mechanic.
• Previous experience working with Hydraulics is an asset.
• Previous experience working on Vacuum Trucks is an asset.
• Ability to use (J Pro) diagnostic software.
• Class 5 Driver’s License required.
