Senior Rope Access Technician at Tacten

Join Tacten as a Senior Rope Access Technician, supporting the Fall Turnaround at CNRL in Fort McMurray, Alberta. This role emphasizes safety, mentoring, and compliance with industry standards.
We are recruiting experienced IRATA Level 3 Technicians to lead vital activities in a demanding industrial environment. You will oversee inspections and maintenance while instructing junior technicians and ensuring operational excellence. Your commitment to safety and quality will enhance the success of our turnaround efforts at one of Canada’s largest oil sands operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee all rope access activities ensuring compliance

• Execute rigging setups and conduct hazard assessments

• Provide mentorship to Level 1 and Level 2 technicians

• Maintain accurate documentation of activities and inspections

• Conduct emergency response procedures as necessary
Requirements:

• Current IRATA Level 3 Certification is mandatory

• At least 2 years of relevant experience required

• Strong knowledge of advanced rescue techniques

• Proven leadership skills in team settings

• Must have a clean Driver’s Abstract and valid License
