Class One; Operator

Permanent (No FIFO or Camp)

Location:

Saprae Creek Facility, Fort McMurray, Alberta

Work Schedule:

7 days on, 7 days off; 12‑hour day shifts
Competition end date: 11:59pm MST, Sunday, June 14, 2026, or until a suitable candidate is found.

• Maintain waste services through collection and transportation of waste and equipment.
• Operate truck‑mounted hydraulic hoisting devices, highway tractor‑trailer combinations, roll‑off truck‑pup trailer combinations, lugger, roll‑off, front‑load and flat‑deck trucks with Moffett as required.
• Complete thorough commercial vehicle inspections, including documenting and reporting deficiencies promptly to the immediate supervisor.
• Inspect the condition of waste bins, report defects, and monitor condition and functionality.
• Notify dispatch of delays, unsafe work sites, incidents, equipment breakdowns and/or maintenance or operation concerns.
• Ensure all waste services are completed safely and timely.
• Address and resolve minor client concerns and refer client complaints and questions to leadership.

• Valid Class One (1) Operator’s Licence.
• Three or more years of qualified truck‑driving experience adhering to Alberta provincial hours of service.
• Driver’s abstract demonstrating a pattern of safe and compliant driving behaviour.
• Successfully completed a driver evaluation on a manual 18‑speed Class One (1) vehicle.
• Eligibility to work on all Acden client sites.
• Valid Common Safety Orientation (CSO), or BSO certificate, or a combination of CSTS & OSSA.
• Ability to obtain clearance on drug, alcohol, hearing, and physical abilities pre‑employment testing; this role is designated as safety sensitive.

• Experience with manual transmission and previous roll‑off experience.
• Load securement experience as per Alberta Provincial Hours of Service Regulations.
