Position: Journeyperson Welder for Turnaround Project
Join Tacten as a Journeyperson B-Pressure Welder at CNRL in Fort McMurray, AB. This pivotal role focuses on high-pressure welding within a major turnaround project.

Tacten is recruiting experienced Journeymen Welders for work starting approximately September 8, 2026, with a rotation of 6 on, 1 off. Your expertise in SMAW and GTAW will be critical in delivering quality welds in various positions. This role includes both residential camp accommodations and safety-oriented environments, ensuring a secure working atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute welding on high-pressure systems across various techniques

• Read blueprints and engineering drawings accurately

• Inspect and ensure welder quality standards

• Maintain equipment and provide detailed records of inspections

• Follow all required safety protocols and use protective gear

Requirements:

• Valid Journeyman Certification in Welding

• ABSA B-Pressure Certification required

• CWB SMAW all-positions Certificate mandatory

• IRATA certification needed or willingness to obtain

• Effective communication in English
