Position: Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic Needed
Join NASI as a Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic on a remote mining site in Fort McMurray. This role focuses on repairing CAT, Komatsu, and Hitachi equipment while offering a competitive hourly rate.

NASI is hiring a skilled mechanic to support the Syncrude-Aurora site. You’ll work a 14 x 14 rotating schedule and receive weekly pay of up to $45.17/hour, plus overtime opportunities. The ideal candidate has strong diagnostic skills and recent experience with heavy machinery to ensure safe and efficient equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete repairs on CAT, Komatsu, and Hitachi equipment

• Conduct preventative maintenance and servicing

• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems

• Test repaired equipment for proper performance

• Develop work scopes and schedules for repairs

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years’ post-certification experience

• Valid Alberta Journeyperson Equipment Technician Certificate

• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

• Ability to work independently

• Basic computer knowledge required
