2nd Year Heavy Duty Mechanic Apprentice

Kickstart your career as a 2nd year Heavy Duty Mechanic Apprentice with Finning Canada in Fort McMurray. This role involves troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs of Caterpillar equipment on a continuous shift basis.

We are seeking a dedicated individual for our Fort McMurray Town Shop facility. As a second-year apprentice, you will troubleshoot and repair various Caterpillar equipment. This position includes collaboration with the Service Supervisor and field diagnostics, utilizing Caterpillar SIS and ET tools daily.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose issues and repair Caterpillar machinery

• Assist with on-site repairs as needed

• Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET software regularly

• Complete all necessary technical documentation

• Collaborate with team members and customers effectively

Requirements:

• Must be a 2nd year Heavy Equipment Technician Apprentice

• Willingness to work towards technician certification

• High school diploma required (Grade 12)

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Basic mechanical understanding is essential
