Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic

Elevate your mechanical skills in the Fort McMurray area as a Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic with NACG. Work on heavy equipment with a competitive pay rate of up to $135/hour!

This role with NACG is situated at the Ruth Lake remote mining site, offering 14 x 14 shifts and transportation from Fort McMurray. You will repair CAT, Komatsu, and Hitachi equipment while collaborating closely with peers in maintenance and operations. The role demands an experienced mechanic with strong troubleshooting abilities and a valid Alberta Journeyperson Equipment Technician Certificate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete repairs on various large equipment brands

• Conduct preventative maintenance and servicing

• Inspect and evaluate equipment performance

• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems

• Mentor apprentices and younger mechanics

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years post-certification experience

• Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

• Ability to work with minimal supervision

• Basic computer application knowledge

• Leadership skills in a team environment
