Finning Heavy Duty Mechanic Apprentice

Pursue your Heavy Duty Mechanic Apprenticeship at Finning Canada, located in Fort McMurray. In this 2nd year role, you’ll be responsible for the upkeep of Caterpillar machinery.

We are looking for a motivated individual ready to dive into hands-on repairs and diagnostics. As an apprentice, you will work in a continuous shift format and handle various Caterpillar equipment maintenance tasks. Collaboration is key as you work alongside the Service Supervisor and fellow technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and perform repairs on Caterpillar equipment

• Assist in field repairs as necessary

• Use Caterpillar SIS and ET for everyday tasks

• Document services, warranties, and equipment notes

• Communicate effectively with customers and team members

Requirements:

• Must be a 2nd year Heavy Equipment Technician Apprentice

• Willing to pursue Heavy Equipment Technician Certification

• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent

• Strong safety focus and motivation required

• Mechanical understanding of heavy equipment essential
