Heavy Equipment Operator

Grizzly Trek Group Ltd. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator in Fort McMurray, AB. This full-time role combines landfill operations with heavy equipment management on a 14/14 rotation.

This unique position requires performing both facility and heavy equipment operations. As the sole operator, you will manage dozers and loaders while ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. You'll also interface with contractors and drivers while documenting all relevant operational data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate dozers and loaders at the landfill facility

• Issue Safe Work Permits and ensure compliance

• Track and log fluids and tickets accurately

• Perform pre-trip inspections and routine equipment maintenance

• Keep the work area organized and safe

Requirements:

• Proven experience with dozers and loaders

• Valid Class 5 driver's license

• Basic computer proficiency for logs and permits

• Strong communication skills for team coordination

• Must be local to Fort McMurray, AB
