Hydraulic Shovel Operator

NACG seeks skilled Hydraulic Shovel Operators for an on-site role at Fort Hills. Earn a competitive pay rate of up to $54.86/hour while operating heavy machinery in a safe mining environment.

This position requires a minimum of two years of experience with 2500, 3600, and 5500 Front-Loading Hitachi Shovels. Successful candidates will benefit from camp accommodations, flight transportation from Edmonton or Calgary, and overtime after 8 hours daily. Key Responsibilities:

• Operate hydraulic shovels at Fort Hills site

• Ensure adherence to safety protocols on site

• Complete required pre-employment testing

• Maintain compliance with union standards

• Participate in ongoing safety training programs

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in mining

• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and recent Driver’s Abstract

• CSO or BSO Certification from Energy Safety Canada

• Silica and Wildlife Awareness certifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
