We're hiring Heavy Duty Mechanics to support work based at CNRL Albian. The Field Mechanic will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a variety of Caterpillar equipment, engines and, auxiliary equipment If you have large CAT mining equipment experience this job is for you. • Industry Leading Wage: $70.19 - $77.99/h
• Continuous Shift Premium: $3.50/h
• Night Shift Premium: $3.50/h

• Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail
• Troubleshoot and repair Caterpillar equipment
• Perform field diagnosis and field running repairs
• Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET daily
• Complete technical documentation (service reports, warranty, crossover notes)
• Interact with customers, sales support, and the rest of the Finning team
• Work with the Service Supervisor and Leadhand on various tasks as required

• Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) Certification
• Experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic with a strong knowledge on Caterpillar mining equipment in the field environment
• Valid driver's license with a successful recent drivers abstract
• Mining equipment repair experience considered an asset especially 797 B & F Trucks, D11, 24 motor graders and 740 ADT

• This position is located at the Albian site shop on a 14x14 continuous shift rotation days/nights
• Camp and flights provided from Edmonton or Calgary
• Must be comfortable working in an austere mining environment, often working alone with no supervision
• A condition of employment is the ability to obtain Customer Site access (Drug & Alcohol, fitness testing) and wear a respirator where applicable

You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position. This will be effective immediately and will result in union dues being deducted. Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current collective agreement. Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement.
