Major Job Functions

Troubleshoot and repair and maintain Caterpillar mining equipment

Perform field diagnosis and field running repairs

Large scale overhauls and rebuilds

Component replacements

Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET daily

Complete technical documentation (service reports, warranty, crossover notes)

Interact with customers, sales support, and the rest of the Finning team

Qualifications:

Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) Certification

Experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician

Strong field troubleshooting skills on the Caterpillar mining product line required for field based positions

Valid class 5 driver’s license with a successful recent drivers abstract required for field positions

Important Detail:

This position will work a 14x14 shift, rotating days and nights.

A condition of employment is the ability to obtain Customer Site access (Drug & Alcohol, fitness testing) and wear a respirator where applicable
