Finning is growing fast—and so are the opportunities! We’re hiring a Heavy Duty Mechanic to support our customers at our Fort McMurray Town Shop. If you have CAT equipment experience this job is for you.

• Industry Leading Wage: $64.04 - $71.16/h
• Continuous Shift Premium: $3.50/h
• Continuous Shift: 7x7; extra scheduled weeks off per year
• Vacation and flex/sick time in year one!
• Premium camp or location allowance of $1350/month is provided
• 75% Employer paid medical benefits
• 6% Voluntary Employee Share Purchase, earns 2% Finning match
• 6% Employer paid pension, plus additional match
• CAT certified training:
  Additional certifications and skill development paid for by Finning

• Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail
• Troubleshoot, maintain and perform equipment repairs
• Interface with customers, products and sales support
• Working with the Supervisor on various tasks
• Providing support with reference to on-site safety requirements
• Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment
• Various related duties as required

• Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician Certification
• Experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician

• This shop position is on a 7x7 shift rotation based out of our Fort McMurray Town Shop facility
• A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator

• You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position. This will be effective immediately and will result in union dues being deducted
• Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement.
• Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current collective agreement
