Heavy Equipment Technician, Welder

Birch Mountain Enterprises is seeking experienced Welders to join their team in Fort McMurray, Alberta. This role involves both shop and field repairs on a fleet of heavy‑duty highway trucks, with a focus on welding and fabrication. The ideal candidate will be a certified Journeyman Welder or a Heavy Duty Technician Apprentice, committed to safety and quality workmanship.

• Certified as a Journeyman Welder (minimum 3 years) or Heavy Duty Technician Apprentice (in process)
• Valid driver’s license (minimum class
  5) with clean abstract
• Knowledge in all aspects of heavy truck repair, including hydraulic, electronic, suspension, and computer diagnosis
• Experience with water, vac, and steam trucks preferred
• Clear verbal and written communication skills
• OSSA (or OSSA BSO) and CSTS certification
• Successful completion of BME pre‑employment evaluation, drug & alcohol, and fit for duty screening

• Previous or related experience with water, vac and steam trucks preferred
