Entry Level Utility Treatment Technician

Join the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo as a Utility Treatment Technician Level 1, based in Fort McMurray. This temporary role offers hands-on experience in the wastewater treatment field, focusing on regulatory compliance and effective treatment operations.

In this entry-level position, you will accurately operate and maintain wastewater treatment facilities and related equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain wastewater treatment equipment

• Investigate and resolve operational concerns

• Submit operational data for regulatory reports

• Assist with inspections and preventive maintenance

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED is mandatory

• Certification in Level I Wastewater Treatment required

• One year’s pertinent experience preferred

• Class 5 Driver’s License required for vehicle operation
