3rd or 4th Year Apprentice Electrician

MFM Limited Partnership is looking for an individual to join our team as a 3rd or 4th Year Electrician Apprentice (Tool Repair Technician) in Fort McMurray, AB.

As a 3rd or 4th Year Electrician Apprentice (Tool Repair Technician), you will support and learn from experienced Tool Repair Technicians in repairing, inspection, and certifications for both heavy duty and light duty industrial tools and equipment.

Schedule:

4 days on 3 days off working 10 hours per day shift rotation

Work Location:

Mainly based at the MFM Tools facility in Fort McMurray. Work locations may change occasionally due to operational requirements (potential for site-based work)

Overtime Eligibility:
Some overtime may be required on occasion.

• Inspect & diagnose failures on various components such as:
  Pumps, Motors, Welding machines, Power Units, control circuits, automated cutting systems etc.
• Disassembly/inspection/repair of electrical tools,
• Perform certification testing and documentation of welding machines and related equipment
• Maintain, calibrate and repair in house equipment as required.
• Small tool repair as assigned

• Demonstrated commitment to working safely
• Comfortable working with hydraulic pressure up to 10,000psi
• Comfortable working with voltage ranges 16-600 vac and 12-600 vdc (welding machines) Will be seen as an asset.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in team environment and independently
• Maintain clean/organized work environment

• 3rd or 4th Year Electrician Apprentice Certificate
• Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License is mandatory
• Eligible to work at all the Oil Sand sites in Fort Mc Murray
• Mechanically inclined
• Valid Common Safety Orientation (CSO) certification
