Become a key technical expert at Sterling, providing field service for oil sands chemical treatment programs. Focus on polymer flocculants and coagulants while ensuring optimal dosing and system performance.
This position offers hands-on troubleshooting and system diagnostics in varied tailings operations across northern Alberta. You will support the commissioning, optimization, and reliability of treatment programs by maintaining detailed records and performing proactive service visits. Your expertise will guarantee effective dewatering and water recovery, making a real impact in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide expert field service for chemical treatment systems
• Support commissioning and optimization of treatment programs
• Conduct diagnostics on polymer make-down units and dosing skids
• Maintain detailed documentation of service activities
• Train customer operations teams on equipment handling
Requirements:
• Technical Diploma in relevant field preferred
• Valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s licence required
• Knowledge of flocculants and coagulants in tailings treatment
• Ability to troubleshoot chemical treatment systems
• Safety certifications including WHMIS and CSTS-2020
