Construction Technician

This role focuses on supporting construction projects by setting up and breaking down job sites, assisting with scaffolding, and performing a variety of carpentry, concrete, and masonry tasks. You will work on both residential and commercial projects, contributing to safe and efficient site operations while developing your skills in scaffolding and general construction.

• Set up construction job sites each day, ensuring all materials, tools, and equipment are organized and ready for use.
• Break down job sites at the end of projects or shifts, safely removing and storing materials, tools, and equipment.
• Assist in building and erecting scaffolding in accordance with safety standards and project specifications.
• Move and carry construction materials around the job site to support ongoing work and maintain workflow efficiency.
• Measure and cut materials accurately based on project plans and instructions.
• Support carpentry, form carpentry, concrete, and masonry tasks as directed by site leadership.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working on active construction sites.
• Adapt to working on different job sites day to day and maintain reliability in commuting to various locations.

• At least 2 years of experience in scaffold work, carpentry, or form carpentry.
• Hands-on experience in residential or commercial construction environments.
• Ability to assist with building and erecting scaffolding safely.
• Ability to measure and cut materials accurately.
• Experience working with concrete and masonry on construction projects.
• Capability to move and carry construction materials throughout the job site.
• Willingness to commute to different job sites on a daily basis.
• Comfort working on secure, restricted projects that require adherence to specific site rules and protocols.

• Any additional concrete experience is a plus.
• Any additional masonry experience is a plus,in both residential and commercial construction is beneficial.
• Interest in learning and expanding skills in scaffolding and general construction.

You will work on active construction sites across the DC/Maryland region (including areas such as Montgomery County, Prince George’s County, Harford County, and Baltimore City) or across DC/Northern Virginia. The role requires flexibility and comfort with commuting to different job sites every day. Work is performed outdoors and indoors depending on the project, with typical construction site conditions that involve physical activity, handling materials, and working around scaffolding, concrete, and masonry.

Dress will follow standard construction site expectations, including appropriate workwear and safety gear as required by each site.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Meade, MD.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
