Summary
This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command.
It is in the Technician / Administrative Support Work Category at the Entry/Developmental Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA DKASAA-PC12.
Help
- Performs a variety of assignments within the Management Analysis field involving different and unrelated situations, processes and methods.
- Studies regulations and manuals to become familiar with the mission and technical responsibilities of the agency and the programs involved.
- Provides advice and guidance on the interpretation and application of new administrative and/or program management directives and instructions to determine effects of changes on existing operations.
- Conducts evaluations and assessments of various administrative and management programs.
- Gathers data, conducts studies, and performs analysis that involves developing solutions to administrative problems in a wide variety of functions and work processes for the area or program studied.

Student Trainees qualify based on their educational achievements. To be eligible for the Student Internship Program, you must submit unofficial/official transcripts with the current enrollment period course load along with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50 - The absence of this information will result in an ineligible rating.
- To qualify at the 04 - Completion of 2 full academic years of post-high school study or an associate's degree.
- To qualify at the 05 - Completion of 4 academic years of post-high school leading to a bachelor's degree or equivalent degree.
- To qualify at the 07 - Completion of 1 full academic year of graduate level education; or Eligibility under the Superior Academic Achievement Provision and completion of a bachelor's degree.

- The required education must lead to a bachelor's degree with specialization in or directly related to the field in which the student trainees will receive training on the job. The degree of specialization in this field must satisfy on graduation the specific educational requirements in the qualification standard for the corresponding two-grade interval positions.***

Trainees qualify based on semester hours and are exempt from standard Individual Occupational Requirements (IOR) or Basic Requirements. However, upon completing the internship program, they must meet all applicable OPM-prescribed IOR or Basic Requirements to qualify for conversion.

Additional information- PROGRAM COMPLETION AND CONVERSION ELIGIBILITY:
Upon successful completion of their academic program and the trainee program, the student may be converted to a permanent position in the excepted consistent with agency needs, academic achievement, and demonstrated potential. Conversion potential for this opportunity is a GG-0399-4/5/7/9/11/13 up to the full performance level of GG-0343-13. However, future budgetary events, hiring restrictions, conversion caps, or other events may preclude the conversion or conversion to a position with the full potential performance level.
