Systems Engineer
Overview
Engineering systems over their lifecycle including conception, design & development, testing, production, deployment, operation, maintenance, support, and decommissioning. The role requires U.S. citizenship, active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, and a background in fundamental engineering science or physics (e.g., materials science, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, electronics, computer systems, signal processing, digital design, systems & control theory, communications, power systems, networks, software development, optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics).
Responsibilities- Perform systems engineering functions: define and document concepts of operations, operational/system requirements, and use cases to support system development.
- Perform high‑level system design.
- Specify system/component performance and interface requirements.
- Develop installation, integration, and acceptance test plans.
- Continuously assess existing organizational processes and work products to ensure they best facilitate strategic and tactical efforts.
- Coordinate with customers, project teams, and related organizations to ensure solutions satisfy the requirements.
- Define and communicate a shared technical and architectural vision for the solutions developed by the product teams.
- U.S. citizen.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
- ABET‑accredited degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field.
- Three (3) years of relevant experience in engineering systems over their lifecycle.
$100,000 – $150,000 per year. Salary is a general guideline and may vary based on responsibilities, education, experience, skills, and internal equity.
