Defense Industry Analyst - Senior

This position requires an active TS/Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI) clearance.

Cherokee Analytics is seeking a Defense Industry Analyst Senior that provides all-source analytical support to the U.S. Army Operations Group (AOG) de, MD. The role requires conducting comprehensive analysis of various topics and operational environments, contributing to operational planning, and enhancing target knowledge. The Senior Defense Industry Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the AOG's mission by delivering in-depth insights and strategic recommendations.

Estimated starting salary: $125,000. Pay commensurate with experience.

Defense Industry Analyst - Senior

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide detailed all-source analytical support, including in depth analysis of the topics and operational environments, which support operational planning and target knowledge
  • Focus its analytical efforts to identify, assist or enhance HUMINT collection operations and operational planning
  • Employ an array of analytical methodologies against topics in order to identify critical nodes within the network and their relationship to the topic
  • Leverage the multi-intelligence community in order to support its analytical efforts
  • Research and assess potential centers of gravity and critical nodes for advanced technologies that compete with Army Modernization efforts and support HUMINT collection activities
  • Produce analytical assessments, which include all-source reporting and finished intelligence reviews, network diagrams, foreign area studies, technology studies, open-source information reviews, scientific literature reviews, as well as responding to ad hoc analysis support RFIs
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Defense Industry Analyst - Senior Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

Active TS/SCI - must be willing and able to obtain CI Polygraph

  • 10 years of experience within the IC, must include knowledge of and experience with intelligence operations and its various disciplines, functions, processes, and documentation, with 4 years of experience in:
  • Experience in intelligence analysis tradecraft, and operations at the Division G2, Corps, ASCC, or higher levels.
  • Knowledge of intelligence cycle: requirements, collection, dissemination, analysis, and production.
  • Experience with intelligence automated systems, specifically all-source analytical databases.
  • Knowledge of Intelligence Oversight and Security Guidelines pertaining to HUMINT operations.
  • Knowledge of Social, Cultural, and Commercial networks
  • Must have one of the following courses:
    • Joint CI/HUMINT and Analysis Targeting Courses (J-CHATC); or
    • All-Source Analyst Courses or service equivalent; or
    • Certified Defense All-Source Analysis (CDASA)
  • Detailed knowledge of Intelligence Oversight and Security Guidelines pertaining to HUMINT operations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for preparing, presenting, and communicating complex topics using available multimedia software and applications.
  • Experience with all-source intelligence processes, data evaluation, and analysis
  • Detailed knowledge of state-of-the-art intelligence analysis tools
  • Experience in managing research and coordination for projects
  • Experience in instructing and interacting with small groups on data and information requirements and coordination tasks
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
