Overview

Position Summary

We are seeking skilled and DoD cleared Cloud Engineer to support our initiatives in developing and managing robust CI/CD pipelines for cloud-based applications. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing our Dev Sec Ops  processes, ensuring that all deliverables meet user acceptance criteria while adhering to security best practices. With a strong background in Azure environments and extensive experience in automation tools such as Jenkins, Git Lab, Kubernetes, and Docker, the ideal candidate will be a trusted advisor in implementing industry standards and driving continuous improvement.

Location: on-site in Fort Meade, Maryland. This is not a remote role.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Work with teams to bring continuous improvement to Dev Sec Ops  processes and tools
  • Ensure work product meets user acceptance criteria
  • Manage self-directed assignments
  • Meet schedule deadlines and commitments with a high level of quality of deliverables
  • Be a trusted automation and tooling advisor for Cloud and Dev Sec Ops  initiatives by providing objective, practical and relevant ideas, insights, and advice
  • Recommend and implement industry standards
  • Implement and ensure adherence to security practices and incorporate them into the automated pipelines
Requirements

Education, Certifications, Clearances and Years of Experience

Clearance Requirements

  • Active DoD Security Clearance of Secret or higher

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or other related scientific or technical discipline
  • Certification in one or more cloud environments (Azure or AWS) preferred
  • 5+ years of Dev Sec Ops  experience
  • 3 years of experience with Azure and other Cloud environments
  • 3 years of experience with Kubernetes in an Azure cloud environment
  • 3 years of experience with application and operating system security
  • 3 years of hands-on experience creating CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Helm, Nexus
  • 3 years’ hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible and Terraform
  • Experience in Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket
Knowledge,

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Interpersonal and collaborative skills
  • The ability to communicate strategic information security topics, policies, and standards as well as risk-related concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences at various organizational levels
  • Knowledge and experience working in DoD Azure environments
Compensation

Salary Range: $140,000 – $190,000

The salary range for this position is determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications, skill level, and location. The final salary offer will fall within this range and will be commensurate with the candidate’s background and the specific demands of the role.

Physical Demands

This position primarily involves sedentary work in an office or remote setting. The employee is regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers to operate computers and related equipment, and communicate verbally and in writing. Occasional lifting and carrying of equipment up to 25 pounds may be required. The role may also involve bending, reaching, or kneeling when setting up or troubleshooting hardware.

Visual acuity is necessary for prolonged use of computer monitors and diagnosing technical issues.
