L2 Onsite Engineer
Position Overview:
We are seeking experienced L2 Onsite Engineers to support a short-term, high-visibility hardware modification project. This is a six-week engagement requiring full-time onsite support. Selected resources will operate as part of a travel team, supporting three designated locations. The primary objective of this role is to perform hardware-level modifications on Dell laptop systems, specifically removing camera and microphone modules in accordance with project requirements.
Phase 1 includes 1,000 units, with the full project scope totaling 6,000 units.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform physical removal of camera and microphone modules from designated Dell laptop models.
* Support modification efforts across three assigned locations as part of a mobile technical team.
* Handle, track, and process approximately 1,000 devices during Phase 1, with scalability for additional project phases.
* Ensure all hardware modifications are completed in compliance with security and technical guidelines.
* Maintain proper documentation of completed work and inventory tracking.
* Follow established safety and security protocols when handling equipment.
* Collaborate with project leads and onsite stakeholders to ensure timely project completion. Supported Hardware Models:

* Dell Latitude 5420
* Dell 14 Pro
Required Qualifications:
* Active Secret Clearance (required).
* Hands-on experience with laptop hardware disassembly and reassembly.
* Familiarity with Dell enterprise laptop models preferred.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures.
* Ability to travel between multiple sites during the project duration.
* Professional demeanor and ability to work effectively in secure environments.
* Ability to lift and handle IT equipment as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Prior experience in large-scale device refresh or modification projects.
* Experience working in secure or government environments.
* L2 desktop support or hardware technician experience. This role is ideal for experienced technical professionals who are comfortable working in secure environments and performing precision hardware modifications within a structured project timeline.
