Candidate must be able to be on site at Fort Meade, Scott AFB, or Hill AFB daily. At a minimum, a Secret clearance is required upon the start of employment and within 14 days following the start date the employee must obtain their Security + certification.

The Test Engineer is responsible for working within a fast paced, Agile team to verify and validate changes made to the system as well as develop more efficient and modern test techniques and processes. The Test Engineer will perform validations of configuration, development, support, and maintenance of the Service Now implementation. Works with external and internal stakeholders to understand and confirm the delivery of the digital transformation solutions with emphasis on request fulfillment, automated workflows through Service Now Service Catalogs and key ITIL processes like Request, Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, and other modules.

• Work with the team to ensure delivery of quality software using Agile Scrum development and test practices.
• Analyze capability requirements and collaborate with the technical lead and test manager to ensure verifiable implementations.
• Create automation tests utilizing the Service Now's Automation Test Framework (ATFs)
• Support identifying the testable acceptance criteria in user stories.
• Test Service Now capabilities developed as part of user stories defined in the sprint plan.
• Support the independent test manager with development and execution of test procedures.
• Participate in sprint reviews to address testing results.
• Participate in sprint planning sessions.
• Translating and interpreting functional requirements into test cases.
• Perform regression testing, covering full suite of Operational Test Scenarios for builds and/or images to be delivered to customer.
• Prepare test report summarizing test results including anomalies, systems errors, and configuration changes.
• Support the software configuration management process and understand software components and their interface requirements.
• Develop detailed test plans, test data, and define test acceptance criteria.
• Support customer demonstration, data prep and UAT activities.
• Use the Atlassian Jira tool to document and maintain all testing updates and creation of defects.
• Assist in maintaining the validation portion of the requirements traceability for software systems (RVTM).
• Open to receiving mentoring from senior testers.

• Requires a US Citizenship.
• Hold an active security certification that meets DOD 8570 IAT level II or higher (i.e., Security+)
• Must hold an active DoD Secret clearance.
• Must be able to commute to Scott AFB, IL, Ft. Meade, MD, or Ogden, UT for full time on-site support
• Bachelor's Degree with 4 - 8 years of relevant experience or master's with 2-6 years of prior relevant experience. Additional years of work experience in lieu of degree is acceptable.
• Test data management and testing automation.
• Experience with Dev Ops, continuous integration tools and source control tools.
• Experience with agile development and testing methodologies.
• The ability to work on a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to further grow and enhance skillset from more senior testers throughout each project.

• Possesses 1-2 years' experience with Service Now administration, configuration management and maintenance of the Service Now platform.
• Prior knowledge and experience with Service Now's ATFs
• Service Now Platforms modules:
  Discovery, Event Management, Scripting, Service Mapping, Business Rules, Script Includes, Custom applications, Orchestration, Workflows, Service Catalog.
• Demonstrated ability to perform code analysis and troubleshoot difficult technical issues, ability to identify system deficiencies and recommend solutions.
• Understanding of ITIL foundation or ITIL certified
• AWS cloud certifications
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
• Knowledge of Jira and Confluence.

• Active security clearance or ability to obtain a security clearance "preference given to candidates who already have a clearance". This candidate needs to have a high level of professionalism as they will be working on an Active Military Base.

Expert Level

This is a Contract position based out of Fort Meade, MD.

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $67.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
