Position
GG Dev Ops Software Engineer (SWE) leading multi‑faceted mission critical system development, deployment, and evolution.

As a cyber security professional, you’ll protect the networks that citizens and the world depend upon each minute. You will work with cybersecurity experts on threat protection and proactive prevention.
Responsibilities- Dev Ops Engineering:
Design, implement, and maintain Dev Ops pipelines for C++ or Python applications, utilizing Kubernetes/K8 deployment and administration, Helm chart creation, and pod definition. - Kubernetes Administration:
Manage and configure Kubernetes clusters, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security. - Debugging and Defect Correction:
Identify, debug, and correct defects in existing software, using effective troubleshooting techniques to resolve issues efficiently. - GPU Configuration and Support:
Configure and optimize GPU resources for performance‑critical applications, utilizing CUDA or other relevant technologies. - Automated Testing and Deployment:
Implement automated testing and deployment scripts, utilizing tools such as Jenkins or Git Lab CI/CD. - Collaboration:
Work closely with cross‑functional teams, including system architects, and project managers, to ensure software meets user requirements and is delivered on schedule. - Documentation:
Maintain comprehensive documentation for software designs, processes, and interfaces to facilitate knowledge sharing and project continuity.
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 20 years or more of professional experience. Considered an expert, authority in discipline.
- Possess all capabilities as defined by the GG Statement of work (SOW) Appendix B for the USG standard SWE labor category level 3.
- Kubernetes
- Cluster design, deployment, and lifecycle management
- Rancher, RKE2 implementation
- Control‑plane component configuration & troubleshooting
- Worker‑node management, configuration, and lifecycle automation
- Workload management (scheduling, affinity, resources, scaling)
- High‑availability cluster configuration
- Cluster monitoring, networking, and storage
- Storage classes, PVC, PC, integration with external storage systems
- Security concepts & implementation (RBAC, service accounts, secrets, certificate management, policy engines)
- Helm familiarity
- CKA certification – a plus
- Kubernetes application development / deployment principles
- CNCF projects & tools
- Dev Ops principles
- Git Ops, builds, pipelines
- Networking
- Switching, routing, VLANs
- Advanced Linux (RHEL / Rocky / EL9)
- OS configuration & troubleshooting

Location & ScheduleOnsite Full‑time.
Schedule:
9x80 every other Friday off.
Annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $150,800 - $265,880.
