Database Administrator, Data Engineering
Due to federal contract requirements, United States citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance and polygraph are required for the position.
Qualifications- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must have TS/SCI clearance with active polygraph
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (four additional years of DB experience can be used in lieu of degree)
- At least ten (10) years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator
- Experience administering Oracle databases in current production environments
- Extensive experience with database design and modeling; collection and interpretation of customer requirements for database migration, troubleshooting, performance observation and tuning
- Significant experience with the production and deployment of RAC and RMAN backup & recovery
- Experience with Oracle Exadata, DB security, Data Guard and/or DB Vault, Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control, label security and data migration
- Supporting database design, development, implementation, information storage & retrieval, data flow, and analysis activities
- Supporting analysis and evaluation of system improvements, optimization, development and/or maintenance efforts
- Supporting the development of long‑term and short‑term requirements for database administration and design
- Assisting in developing databases, database parser software, and database loading software
- Translating requirements and data into usable database schemas by creating or recreating ad‑hoc queries, scripts and macros, and creating new queries to manipulate data into a master file
- Assisting in the development of database structures that fit into the overall architecture of the system under development
- Developing requirement recommendations from project inception to conclusion for a particular business and IT subject matter area (simple to complex systems)
- Developing database structures that fit into the overall architecture of the system under development
- Provide technology and industry leadership on large and/or more complex IT engagements
- Lead enterprise‑wide solution engagements for high quality, integrated solutions within time and budget constraints
- Develop an integrated and robust solution based on customer needs combining GOTS, COTS, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and third‑party components
- Provide subject‑matter experience to assist customers through difficult business decisions
- Design, configure and implement all aspects of the full stack architecture delivering innovative solutions by combining Oracle best practices, knowledge of IT product offerings, and business acumen
