ResponsibilitiesUse information collected from a variety of computer network defense resources—including intrusion detection system alerts, firewall and network traffic logs, and host system logs—to identify, analyze, and report events that occur or might occur within the environment.
QualificationsRelevant experience in computer or information systems design, development, programming, information/cyber/network security, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, computer forensics, information assurance, and/or systems engineering. Must have experience in network or system administration.
Completion of military training such as the Joint Cyber Analysis Course (JCAC), Undergraduate Cyber Training (UCT), Network Warfare Bridge Course (NWBC)/Intermediate Network Warfare Training (INWT), or Cyber Defense Operations is considered towards experience (20‑24 week courses count as six months, 10‑14 week courses count as three months).
Degree in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (e.g., General Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Forensics, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Information Assurance, or Computer Security).
