Job DescriptionDobbs Defense Solutions is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer skilled in conducting assessments of cybersecurity architectures and implementation and recommending improvements in flexibility, scalability, and security. The candidate will attend coordination and synchronization sessions within the geographic area focused on cybersecurity tasking, operations support, and maintenance of cybersecurity systems. The candidate will maintain awareness of system security status and recommend solutions to prevent unauthorized activities.
Provide engineering guidance to cybersecurity engineers Level 1 and 2 and guide the implementation of appropriate operational structures and processes to ensure an effective cybersecurity program.
- Initiate actions to conduct cybersecurity engineering research and analysis and provide recommendations for the implementation of security mechanisms
- Develop and deliver articulate and effective briefings/presentations on complex cybersecurity engineering topics as applicable to assigned projects to any size audience that may include high‑level decision makers
- Plan and schedule the installation of new or modified security hardware, operating systems, and software applications
- Analyze complex information independently, take appropriate actions, and review and implement recommendations from others
- Coordinate effort to develop all cybersecurity documentation, concept papers, and test plans required by Command policies and the Risk Management Framework
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge and understanding of DOD and/or Intelligence Community (IC) engineering efforts across multiple engineering disciplines
Education and Experience
- Minimum 15 years of experience with cybersecurity or information assurance
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or business discipline from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum DOD 8140/DOD 8570 IAM Level II Certification
