Position: Junior Systems Administrator with Security Clearance
Overview VTG is looking for a Junior Systems Administrator to join our team. This position will support a mission-focused customer developing, deploying, and maintaining RF processing systems. What will you do? The Level 1 System Administrator (SA) shall possess the following capabilities: (U) Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems (U) Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems (U) Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems (U) Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems (U) Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems (U) Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.

(U) Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers (U) Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning Do you have what it takes?

Required Qualifications TS/SCI with Poly required

Required Skills:

• System Administration experience with CentOS 7, Rocky 9, and RHEL 9
o Upgrading servers, workstations, laptops

• Experience with the Customer Secure the Enterprise (STE) tasks

• Experience with the Customer data transfer process

• Hardware installation experience (servers/workstations)

• Linux Desired

• Task Automation
o Ansible experience
o PXE boot

• Building VMs using Proxmox

• Identity Manager (IDM) experience
o Integration of IDM with a CentOS LDAP server

• Red Hat Certified System Administrator

• Experience trouble shooting and configuring Transport Layer Security (TLS)

• Windows 10/11 administration

• Linux networking experience
