Strategic Analytix is looking for a Data Management Specialist (DMS). The employee will maintain and update repositories of documentation generated by multiple participants in complex, multi‑project acquisition programs. They will design, maintain, and enhance the taxonomy used to organize this material, ensuring that it is readily accessible to PMO members and responding quickly and effectively to requests for information. The role also involves making data accessible to end users.
Responsibilities- Monitors and maintains the databases and restructures if needed, including confirming the validity of the data contained in the file databases.
- Assists in the creation of structures and standards for the use and maintenance of the databases, enabling information to be pulled through various reports, and organizing data via multiple methods.
- Ensures database access and connectivity support by collaborating with end users.
- Assists in the implementation of database maintenance and security procedures, including adding and removing users and administering quotas.
- Defines database design and management standards and documents new and existing systems and procedures.
- Creates and maintains databases used to support acquisition oversight functions, collaborating with users to ensure the database meets their requirements.
- Communicates to all users any updates to file databases.
- Implements operating methods to improve processing, distribution, data flow, collection, and database editing procedures.
- Troubleshoots problems concerning database records and communicates this information to users.
Clearance Level: TS/SCI level clearance with a Full‑Scope Polygraph.
Skill Level 2:
- Bachelor's Degree in information systems with a concentration in database administration or data management.
- Seven (7) years of demonstrated experience in data management, including implementing document management processes and document management software applications using industry/Government best practices.
- Knowledge of how to create, implement, and maintain data file structures; experience troubleshooting and resolving DM application error messages and user issues.
- Clear understanding of the DoD 5000 acquisition process, C4
ISR/DoDAF documentation requirements, and NSA record‑keeping and archiving processes is highly desirable. - In lieu of the bachelor's degree, three (3) additional years of related experience may be substituted, for a total of ten (10) years.
